Only Connect

8/25/2026 UPDATE: still watching nothing but only connect. yesterday's newest episode featured a music sequence about icelandic artists and it shook me to my core. || who up twisting they flax??? after falling in love with victoria coren-mitchell's last place run on taskmaster series 12 and reading about wendy eisenberg's obession with the show she hosts, only connect, in their recent guardian profile, i had to check it out for myself. victoria is brilliant as is the show! it's something that could only exist for as long as it has in the uk. there are so many great music references (silver jews mentioned on s21e2)! the puzzles make me feel equal parts dumb and smart. i am hooked! working through the most recent series now and naturally, i am gravitating towards the cool, young, and/or queer-coded quiz teams (oh no they didn't! the benchwarmers, the sorcerers, the pitchers, etc.) and i hate it when a captain is ugly and has no charisma.
