Horse Lords - Demand To Be Taken To Heaven Alive! (2026)

album title of the year? if you are seeking experimental jazz that is hypnotic and cathartic, this is for you. i love when a largely instrumental record does a good job of conveying the themes of the record through sound alone. and the vocals that ARE featured get manipulated and looped into the rhythm in such an interesting (albeit sometimes grating) way. i got a knot in my chest listening to this.
